Paphos and the charms of antiquity

Kykkos Monastery and charms of Troodos Mountains

Much of our trip will run through the picturesque Troodos mountain range, famous for its magnificent green cedar forests and clean mountain air. There, at the foot of the mountains, among the vineyards, lies the village of Omodos, inscribed on the UNESCO list.

Then, Kykkos Monastery - one of the miraculous icons of the Mother of God is preserved here, which was supposedly painted by St. Luke. Afterwards, you'll be able to sample local dishes in the restaurant and shop in the square in front of the monastery.

Then we continue our journey, stopping for lunch, then we will go to the winery where you will have the opportunity to taste well-known Commandarii and Zivanii among other local wines in the Lambouri winery.

Kyrenia and water madness

Visit the fairytale fortress of St. Hilarion Castle in the Kyrenia mountains. Spend 1.5 hours visiting the former monastery, named after a monk who chose the location of his hermitage in the 10th century. Then we will go to the port of Kyrenia on the north coast. There, we'll spend some time exploring the old city founded by the Achaean tribe after the Trojan War. Then we will go back to Protaras where water attractions will be waiting for you. The most interesting water sports in Protaras - time for active recreation.

Limassol, Kourion and the Sanctuary of Apollo

Nicosia and its two sides

A trip to Nicosia is to discover the culture and turbulent history of this modern and vibrant city, which is the last divided capital in the world. It is a fascinating place to discover, where two different worlds function side by side. At the beginning, drive to the southern Greek part of Nicosia, where in the center are the Monument of Freedom and the Cathedral of St. Jana, impressive richly decorated interior. Then a walk through the old city within the Venetian walls.

Later, stop at a traditional pastry shop, time for coffee and a sweet snack. Passage through the buffer zone to the northern Turkish part of the city. A visit to Büyük Han and Ayia Sofia, but in addition to monuments and a rather unusual border, the Turkish site has much more to offer. Shopping at typical bazaars is something for lovers of Turkish flavors and Turkish culture.
